Adapted Dance and Musical Theatre Classes for Kids

The adapted dance and musical theatre classes are for students aged 7 to 18 years old who are interested in learning to sing and dance and have developmental or neurological disorders, such as Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy and Global Developmental Delay. The adapted classes will expose students with different physical needs to general fitness and the creative arts through specially designed programming for singing, dancing and acting. Each class is one-hour in length and takes place once a week, on Saturdays.

Through this program, the students will learn and perform musical theatre songs and scenes. These singing activities will help improve breathing control, cardiovascular endurance, enunciation, dictation and phrase formation. While learning the dance curriculum, students will improve their physical strength, flexibility and coordination.

The adapted classes will give students a sense of belonging, improve their self-esteem and confidence.

Please contact the office for more details and information on requirements for successful participation in this program.
